| Teaching Philosophy: "I believe that each individual has a creative power that is waiting to be unleashed. My teaching is based solely on my own personal style. I do not teach a traditional form of belly dance, instead I focus exclusively on fusion and encourage students to find their my classes there is often a fusion of Eastern & Western dance, creating something new and unique. While focusing on the basic fundamentals of belly dance, I allow students to explore different areas of self expression. Students are encouraged to express themselves in their own way. There is no box."~Zehara Nachash |
| THE WORD "I love your teaching style! Very elegant! Your class really improved my abs! I would love to take another class." Mily C., Boston, 2006 "Class at BeWell was fantastic! Since we were all beginners, Zehara was patient with us. She broke the dance out into parts so that we could learn each move individually. Eventually, we put all the parts together to form a dance routine. I began belly dancing with Zehara a year ago for fun. Since I have no dance background, I wasn't sure how well I'd do. But with Zehara I have done very well. Her teaching technique is "keep it simple and fun." She encourages each of us to use our inner creativity. And she lets each of us know we do a great job at dancing! She makes each class fun! And since she is so personable and approachable, everyone is drawn to fully participate because she will tell each of us what a great job we are doing. I would recommend her to anyone wishing to try belly dancing." Annette V. , Brockton, 2007 "I always feel so energized after your classes!," Rosemary T., Roslindale, 2007 "I really love belly dance class! Its taught me how to move in ways I had no idea I could! Zehara is so nice and works with you until you get it just right!" Renee J., West Roxbury, 2008 "The belly dance class with Zehara is incredible! The movements are unique and interesting and I recommend to anyone of any age," Jennifer L., West Roxbury, 2008 "I came in with no belly dance experience at all and have felt increasingly confident each class. Zehara is a great teacher and makes class fun with lots of laughter. I hope to take more belly dancing when this is done!," Katie, Dorchester, 2008 "This was my first experience with belly dance and I am hooked! I learned so much about the history and art of belly dance and am eager to learn more! Zehara's classes are enjoyable, full of energy and good vibes. I highly recommend these class for anyone that is curious or interested about this female empowering art form!"~ Ines De La Cruz, 2008 "Zehara's belly dance class has added a tremendous amount to my full and happy life! Her skill both as a teacher and as a dancer has turned our class into decent dancers in only 6 weeks. She gives clear instructions, demonstrates and then gently "fixes" us until we have mastered the move. Also, she broke the routine down into perfect memerable sequences. I am hoping to register for the next series of classes--this is something I would not miss out on! I am a 58 year old woman with lupus and arthritis. Zehara was encouraging and advised appropriate measures to take to protect myself. Her class is a blast and I would advice anyone to take it."~Casandra Meadows, 2008 "Thank you for giving me the opportunity to perform. This is something I would have never imagined being able to do a couple of years ago and I am so appreciative of your support and encouragement. You have a gift for creating a positive, affirming atmosphere - I have seen this in your studio, your classes, and at yesterday's showcase. As you go forward in your teaching career, please remember your unique gifts - there are many belly dance instructors, but it's not just about instruction, but about empowering expression, something which you do so well."~Gretchen Ayoub, 2009 |
